Mildred June (Lambert) Fields

Mildred June Fields, 80, of Buskirk, KY departed this life on Wednesday; February 4, 2026.  Born September 14, 1945 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Hursel and Gladys Blankenship Lambert. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Fields, sister, Mag Blankenship, and brothers, Tommy, Jeff, Hursel Jr., Charles “Toot”, Sidney “Sid”, and Sam Lambert. 

Mildred was a devoted Christian for 53 years and a member of the Faith Mission Church. 

Survivors include her daughter, Gladys JoDale Fields of Matewan, WV, 2 grandchildren, Luke (Skylar Jade) of Williamson, WV and Jerra Laikyn of Matewan, WV, 1 great-grandson, Raylon Cole, and 3 sisters, Brenda Collins, Diann Dotson, and Norma Jude. 

She will be sadly missed! 

Funeral services will be held Monday; February 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY with Pastor Jimmy Fields officiating.  Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery at McCarr, KY. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service Monday at the church.
